USAs regulerende myndighet for telekom og trådløst, FCC, gikk i sommer ut offentlig og ba både om synspunkter, standpunkter og vitenskapelig materiale knyttet til helseproblemer fra radiobølget stråling, grenseverdier og tilknyttede forskningsmetoder.

Frist for innsendelse var for en ukes tid siden. 

Tusenvis av bidrag er nå sendt inn av forskere, leger, interessegrupper og bekymrede borgere, både i USA og fra andre land. Hvordan dette materialet vil bli håndtert, og hvilke konklusjoner som vil bli trukket, blir spennende.

Joel M. Moskowitz, Ph.D., ved School of Public Health, University of California – Berkeley, har i mange år har fulgt fagfeltet. Han har også selv har publisert mange forskningsartikler på området og gir stadig oversikter over forskningen på sin blogg. Nå har han gått igjennom de innsendte bidragene og sortert ut de han mener er viktigst. Han skriver:

«Disse registreringene gir uttrykk for bekymring over langsiktig eksponering for trådløs stråling, påvirkninger på barn, miljøvirkninger og gir vitenskapelige belegg som bør danne kunnskapsgrunnlag for FCCs retningslinjer».

Hvis du er opptatt av retningslinjer for strålevern, folkehelse, telekommunikasjon og annet trådløst, og ikke er redd for å gå løs på engelsk tekster, er det mye å hente her. Lenkene sender deg rett til FCCs database, der de innsendte svarene ligger i kompakt form, med eventuelle vedlegg. Tekstene varierer fra ganske lettleste til grundige faglige utredninger. Her finner du uttalelser fra en mengde leger (merket MD: Medical Doctor), fra forskere som har arbeidet innen feltet i en årrekke, fra en rekke frivillige organisasjoner, og noen ganske få fra bransjeorganisasjoner og andre myndigheter.

Mine eneste kommentarer til Joel M. Moskowitz sin liste, som du finner under, er at vi bare finner to norske bidrag – fra Else Nordhagen og meg selv, det ene av dem sendt inn sammen med en dansk forsker og en tysk lege. Joel M Moskowitz har tillagt meg en doktorgrad jeg ikke har, men han syntes vel kanskje at hovedfag i statsvitenskap og mastergrad i telekomstrategi veier like tungt?

Nå blir det spennende å se hvordan FCC kommer til å behandle alt det innsendte materialet. Vil det føre til nytenkning og revisjon av grenseverdiene, eller er det hele en skinnmanøver?

Offentlige innsendelser til FCC Docket #13-84 i 2026

Aksjonister for helsevern mot trådløs radiokommunikasjon sendte inn en begjæring til appelldomstolen i Washington DC der de ber domstolen om å tvinge FCC til å redegjøre for sin 5-årige forsinkelse med å svare på domstolens kjennelse om at FCC må forklare «hvordan dens eksponeringsgrenser for RF [radiofrekvent stråling] verner tilstrekkelig mot andre helsevirkninger enn kreft og tar for seg testing av utstyr, påvirkninger på barn, langtidseksponering og miljøpåvirkninger“.

Som svar på dette kravet gjenoppfrisket FCC den 17. September 2026 sin prosedyre #13-84 som gikk ut på å samle inn synspunkter fra offentligheen om de ovennevnte problemene. Mer enn 4 600 innsendelser ble registrert i denne rettsakten siden 2013.

Et utvalg av innsendelsene fra 2013 til og med 2019 ble summert opp i tidligere bloggposter her på dette nettstedet. Dessverre virker ikke lenkene lenger fordi FCC har endret de opprinnelige lenkene.
