Tolfa International Forum

0

Renowned international analysts Glenn Diesen and Thomas Fazi among others are coming to Tolfa on October 13th to take part in a five days international forum to dig into the series of dramatic and epochmaking crises today.

By Pål Steigan.

This has been my dream for a long time. I wrote about it in April of 2020 during the curfew dictatorial rule in Italy: Tolfa Economic Forum.

When international travel becomes possible again, I will invite to a workshop/seminar in Tolfa under the name of Tolfa Economic Forum. Of course, it is a joking reference to Davos and World Economic Forum, they at the top, we at the bottom, but the idea is no joke.

We, the ordinary people need to get together to talk about and study the world economic crisis, and chart practical ways to strengthen our hand.

The rich have all sorts of forums and conferences and they plan all sorts of attacks on the working people. They are immensely richer than us, they have the power, and we have not, but what I can’t accept is that they are smarter than us. We could do better. They defend a corrupt system in deep crisis and the class interests of less than 0,1% of mankind. We should be able to outsmart them, at least in the long run. And a long run has to start with the first step.

The idea was to gather thinkers and analyzers from near and far at the Convento Cappuccini Tolfa to get a better and more profound understanding of the world today.

Tolfa International Forum

Now it is about to become reality. Professor Glenn Diesen and author and writer Thomas Fazi are coming among others. Glenn has written a great number of important books on international issues. So has Thomas Fazi, and among others The Covid Concensus.

Invitation

You might take part.

I write in the invitation:

2024 is one of the most dramatic and fateful years in human memory, so sober analysis, knowledge and visions of the future are needed.

That is why we invite you to the Tolfa International Forum in the 400-year-old Convento Cappuccini Tolfa. Among the main speakers are the Norwegian professor Glenn Diesen and the Italian author and analyst Thomas Fazi. Both are highly recognized internationally in their fields and have extensive and up-to-date writing.

Moderator and speaker is Pål Steigan.

About 20 participants, Full board and course: 850 euros.

We want the entire monastery at our disposal. Convento Cappuccini Tolfa is a listed monastery from 1622 that has been restored in a respectful way.

Why Tolfa? I know of no other place that is more inspiring, has a more beautiful location in a community where you feel so at home. The monastery has soul, harmony and atmosphere like no other place I know of. Moreover, I have helped to restore it and make them even more beautiful.

The forum

We will invite a couple of other speakers and the topics we will discuss are:

  • NATO’s war against Russia
  • The global financial crisis
  • Israel and the Middle East
  • BRICS and the multipolar world

The forum will include lectures, questions and answers, discussions and interviews.
