It has now been confirmed that the courageous and internationally recognized journalist and war reporter Eva Bartlett will come to the Tolfa International Forum October 13th to 17th.
Eva Bartlett is an independent journalist with extensive experience in Syria (15 trips between 2014 & 2021, some months-long) and also in occupied Palestine (she spent 8 months in the West Bank & a cumulative three years in the Gaza Strip, from late 2008 to June 2010, and back in 2011 off and on to March 2013). Sha has also also reported extensively from the Donbass (9 visits, from 2019 on) and from Venezuela.
In 2017, Bartlett was short-listed for the prestigious Martha Gellhorn Prize for Journalism. The award rightly was given to the amazing journalist, the late Robert Parry [see his work on Consortium News].
In March 2017, Bartlett was awarded “International Journalism Award for International Reporting” granted by the Mexican Journalists’ Press Club (founded in 1951). Co-recipients included: John Pilger and political analyst Thierry Meyssan.
She was also the first recipient of the Serena Shim award.
